What to ask
Does it support OASIS-E and your state’s requirements? Can it handle intake and referral workflow (document upload, checklist, authorization)? How does it handle RAP and final claims? Is it usable in the field (mobile or tablet)? What’s the implementation and support like? Talk to other home health agencies who use it,not just the sales demo.
What to avoid
Systems that weren’t built for home health and need endless workarounds. Vendors who can’t show you a clean intake-to-billing flow. Talk to at least two or three agencies using the system,not just references the vendor gives you.
